Lovely in lavender

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Due to popular demand, the “Will you be my bridesmaid?” (maid of honor, matron of honor) cards are now offered in a lovely pale lavender. They are printed with the same metallic gold gocco ink as our original pink cards and paired with a metallic gold envelope for the same vintage chic look.

It’s such a sweet way to ask the special ladies in your life to take part in your wedding!

Reuse last year’s wrapping paper

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

It’s that time of year where I become a wrapping fiend! I love finding gorgeous wrapping paper and I can’t bear to throw out any scraps! A few years ago I found a great way to use those little pieces of paper left over that won’t wrap anything but a thimble.

Below are instructions to my DIY recycled wrapping paper holiday cards:

Materials needed:

1. Round or square shaped die-cut punchers
2. Glitter pens
3. xyron sticker machine or a glue stick
4. Blank folded card

Punch as many circles or squares as you can with the left over wrapping paper.
Feed the shapes through the xyron machine to turn them into stickers
Peel stickers and space out shapes on front of a blank card
Use the glitter pen to draw on ribbons and bows to turn circles into ornaments and squares into presents

Seriously so cute! And if you are like my mom and you carefully unwrap gifts given to you to save the pretty paper, then you will have even more for next year!

If you like these but don’t feel like making them, I’ll make them for you! Click here to order some from my Jenuine Paper Etsy Store.

Showered with Love

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

As every bride knows, weddings/engagements equal lots of thank you card writing. For our joint shower, I created these thank you cards from the both of us.

This is also now available in the Jenuine Paper Etsy Store, (sold in packs of 8).

Anything for my girls

Monday, November 16th, 2009

A few years ago I had a client ask me to create personalized stationery for her bridesmaids and I thought it was a really nice gift. I decided to do the same thing for my girls.

On the top of each box, I attached a thank you note written on the back of these vintage postcards that I found in a local candy shop.

The best part of this bridesmaids gift is that its truely personalized. I picked favorite colors, favorite things, and even nicknames to make them extra special to each girl.

Will you be my bridesmaid?

Monday, November 16th, 2009

The first of many paper goods that I created during my engagement were cards to ask 7 lovely ladies in my life to be my bridesmaids. Since I only needed to create a small amount of these cards, I decided to go for something a little more hands-on. I pulled out my Japanese gocco press and used gold metallic ink on blush pink cards for a modern vintage feel.

I recently added these cards to my etsy store and they are a huge hit. “Maid of Honor” and “Matron of Honor” versions are also available.
